Okay but actually, I'm enjoying this? For some reason the writing style reminds me of Babel (DNFed earlier this year) but it's done in a way I wish Babel had been written. Like the narration is actually entertaining, the theme is clear without being overpowering, and even though I might not directly relate to the MC, I still enjoy his perspective
