This book is rife with errors. Not grammatical, story line.
The end of one chapter a character is watching as the police approach the neighbors house. The mother answers the door and they turn away saying they can’t watch. The next chapter is that approach from the officers POV and the father answers the door with the mother stepping up after and staying out of sight.
