Half way.
Pacing starting to ramp up. It is more a book about people, than of an apocalypse. The character work is exceptional. Each depiction is vivid and full of life, however ugly that may be.
The sheer number of place-names is unnecessary, and don’t help the reader follow the journey unless they are a GeoGuessr expert. Some descriptions of women were overly-sexualised/unwarranted.
