lyeba once you have a solid idea of what the book is like, i need to hear ur thoughts before i decide whether i wanna read this or not. based on what i know about it at this point, i feel like it wont b my kind of book, but then again, i might be misjudging it

Yes ma’am. I listened to a podcast that told the story of the entire Trojan War to get a good background before I actually tried reading Homer. If you’re down to listen to it I can send it to you. He goes through it all like a storyteller.

Also I heard Emily Wilson’s translation is more accessible for modern readers while keeping the poetic structure which is why I chose it. I’m still on the Introduction and she’s going through all the background you’ll need to get a better understanding of the story and the way it’s written.
