A friend gave this to me years ago but I somehow got distracted and stopped partway through reading it. I'm trying it again. I think he got it for me because it is set in rural Ontario. I'm liking it. It is a bit like Elmore Leonard has borrowed Alice Monroe's or Laurie Lansen's place for a vacation and decided to set his next book there.
