It's pointing to ANNE. The one who idolizes Sarah so much and probably wants to prove that Adam doesn't deserve her. But then again, Matthew also operates from the same mindset too. He doesn't think that Sarah should be defending Adam.

I'm skeptical of all characters in this book honestly. They all act strange. Matthew...her best friend. Anne....her secretary....Deputy Hudson......Sheriff Stevens.....Rebecca.....the reporter. I don't know what to think at the moment.

Adam is such a disgusting character. The things he says and how he behaves. You're concerned now about your wife seeing someone else when you've been sneaking around for over a year and possibly got your mistress pregnant. Then claiming to still love your wife. Lol.

This book kind of falls into the cliche category of husband/mistress and mistress is dead but found pregnant as well. Even though I'm enjoying it, I still hope that there's something more to the storyline.
