Tempted to DNF. The main characters mother experiences a stillbirth and becomes depressed. Prior, she was awful to her daughter. The father doesn’t help. The brother is lashing out in frustration and despite the MC meaning well, upsets her family further. The MC is an autistic child, and she tries to be social with others, but is bullied, including her family. Lots of emotional neglect. Overall, a depressing read.
