I can't stand the Zevander chapters. I get he's supposed to be this deeply wounded, brooding type, but there isn't anything to make him likeable as an individual. Trauma alone does not automatically make for good characterization, and that's all that's been offered about him so far. And what actions he's taken so far that might look akin to compassion are really just him robbing his sister of her autonomy.
