Big ick for me. Author was using magic to begin with, and for me this is the appropriate way to manage this. Magic is the like Harry Potter style. Magick if for those that are actively practicing.
While this book is bringing in elements of those that practice (Yule, Mabon), they are adding magic components. Please keep separate.

Mention of not only Yule but Mabon as well. I'm liking it!
