Still really slow - I hate Sal’s parents- true tyrants - Sal’s responses to both of them seem to be uncharacteristically grown up and mature - this book is as much about kids leaving the nest as it is about monsters

I really wonder how much of a shit the military father gives over the daughter, Sal.
House arrest, attempted murder whilst pretending to be not in the right mind, taking her into an infected room, threatened arrest, forced sedation with no aftercare, general suspicion and distrust. There’s military behaviour but I can’t help feeling it’s a huge overreaction- what a dick!

Slow going

Not as compulsive as the cover suggests, but it ticks along in a steadily slow burn, I guess

Not really as contagious as it says on the book cover - lots of explanations, but less in the way of action (yawn)
