A fun, brisk while engrossing celebration of established horror tropes in fiction, as viewed through the protagonistic lense of an expert within the field.
It won’t stick with me the way the following two stories will, but it’s inherently a little more invested in thrills and intrigue than, say, emotional resonance. A solid ‘Amuse-bouche’ for the rest of the collection.
