The audiobook performer keeps pausing whenever Jed speaks—there’s a gap almost every time he speaks; I get the impression the performer did his voice separately and stitched it in, but the gaps are off.

Grr. The final crisis moment is looming and I dislike the set-up in place, but romance will romance. (I swear the final-bump/crisis moment can’t go soon enough for me.)

So very many betrayals, and yet, I’m in. It’s this odd mix of cozy and "OMG NO! WHO WOULD DO THAT?!"
