Excited to see where the rest of the story goes. I love Tipp, he’s such a wholesome boy. All of the characters work well together and have a kind of rapport, which is something I love. I’m gonna guess now that Kiva has powers and she’s the rightful heir to the throne, although I don’t know where Jaren fits into the picture just yet.

So Jaren’s been the real prince this entire time. I knew somehow he and Naari knew each other from outside of Zalindov, but her being his Golden Shield was not expected. Wow.

I have no idea how this book will end, but Jaren having elemental magic was something I didn’t even think of. Jaren and Kiva better be endgame or I’ll be upset lol.

I like the royal siblings, they weren’t what I was expecting. I thought Kiva would miraculously beat the first trial on her own which would have been such a predictable bore. I miss Jaren though, he needs to make another appearance soon.
