Two chapters in and the premise seems a lot like Dune where these powerful families are controlling everything and they do interplanetary trade. But unlike Dune it seems almost exclusively focused on the trade and the economic stuff that comes with interplanetary trade. Minimal space magic so far with the exception of the faster than light travel.
