Goddess figures from different parts of the world and different points of history merged over time, travel, and cultural exchange to evolve into what we now recognize as the goddess Aphrodite. It’s interesting that her origins were more violent but eventually she became a hopeful, joyful figure who helped people struggle through life and the brutality of the time period.
