jesus christ. the way the sex scene is written…. the WAY FUCKING TODD HAYNES SUCCEEDED TO TRANSFORM SUCH POETIC WORDS INTO IMAGES…………. holy molly! this is just tenderness and softness. it’s like melting into the loved one, therese finally discovering parts of carol she actually CRAVED and was obsessed with for weeks. yeah. thank you patricia highsmith!
