I got Murder at Mallowan Hall on my TBR - is it a good series so far?

It's definitely a cozy mystery, which I'm generally not a fan of, but the main character, Phyllidia

*Phyllida Bright, is a decent protagonist, and having Agatha and Max there is fun. But yes, definitely read Murder at Mallowan Hall if you can. I try to read mostly library books (because I'd be flat broke if I bought everything I want to read,) so I can't really judge if I'd BUY the books. It's better than Sophie Hannah, I can tell you that much 😉

I also enjoy the occasional cosy mystery with the right conditions
• a good and likeable cast of characters (because we really return to follow them, rather then the story itself)
• a good setting
• and somewhat realistic (some of these characters sometimes are unrealistically snoopy and the police never minds 😆)
These books are good palette cleansers in-between heavier reads 😁

Not sure if you are in the UK, but BorrowBox, for audio books and ebooks is also a great opinion from the library. And if I specifically liked a book, I try to buy it on Vinted 😁😁
