Little stick…
I was surprised by how much I forgot when rereading this book, except this part. It’s pretty traumatic and even after this second time I still can stop searching for reason.
If you ever read this book, be warned. Little stick is not easy to accept at all.

Not looking Howard to that “to be continued” tag I noticed at the back of the book. Especially with all the crap going down now. Guess it would be similar feeling to the events in A Subtle Knife... but instead of just being able to hope to the next story I have to write another two years! :cry:

Certainly glad I read “Lyra’s Oxford” again before this. Surprised by how much this book references that one.
I’m still curious what themes this series will tackle. The first trilogy seemed heavily influenced by Milton’s “Paradise Lost” however that doesn’t seem like an ongoing theme for Book of Dust.
I really like its thoughts on imagination. Hope this develops more throughout the story.
