I’m always down for a good audiobook but I have to say, Millie doesn’t sound anything like what I had imagined in The Housemaid, which I physically read. Nor as she did in the movie. I wasn’t expecting a hard New York accent when I started this audiobook and I have to admit it threw me. I dare say it’s made it less enjoyable because I’m so distracted by it.
