I really think my mom, the former schoolteacher, would love this book in part because it is told like a story being read to a child.
King heavily foreshadows then tells you in detail what he told you.
Also he seems to write with a purpose cake and pie vs bread and butter…it has me seeing ghosts, like is the reason he emphasized women don’t like sex is because he as an author wanted to discourage his own daughter?

I find it interesting how the narrator frequently tells us ahead of time what is going to happen and then proceeds to tells just that in detail.
