In the aftermath of Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein, I wonder if Frank Peretti would have written this novel today. It is creepy and disturbing reading how Dane Collins (the main character who turns 60 years old) is romantically attracted to and flirtatious with Eloise (a 19 year-old who reminds Dane of his deceased wife, Mandy). Even if Eloise turns out to be Mandy somehow, it remains creepy and disturbing.
