really interesting depiction of the pain of motherhood. why do we confide to the conventions of motherhood anyway? why can’t a woman and her son act like dogs? why can’t a mother lick the top of her son’s head, her son who she pushed out of her own body. who she grew from a bundle of cells to its own person.
