Lowkey hardly remember anything from the first book…but it’s slowly coming together the more I read of this one.
Ugh, I’ve missed Reid’s writing so much, it’s so lyrical and descriptive. And the heavy academic voice really comes through in a book that isn’t just “performatively academic” (lmao), but meant to teach us something. I like it so far! Plus, Effy and Preston.

Yeah I already know Effy and Preston are going to have issues…
But I’m so intrigued by Preston’s connection to this dream world and like how all of it fits together, I think the story is bigger than just their budding relationship problems. Although, that doesn’t make it unimportant.
