Pretty awesome, deep, and intriguing, touching on themes of astronomy, religion, and war/anti-Semitism.
Would not understand much of the religious parts if I hadn't recently read "Lost Christianities" by Bart Ehrman, so I feel fortunate. Maybe someday I will read (a summary of) the original "City of God" by St. Augustine (1100 pages), to understand more.
Beautiful, imaginative, lush language. Multiple narrators.
