So I left my library copy of Careless People on a bench at Flinders Street Station. I dashed to the Lost & Found office at the station where I was lectured about 'my dereliction of duty for losing public property.' I then confessed my sins to the City of Melbourne library staff where they forgave my transgression and expunges the lost book from my records. Irony.

Oh dear you poor thing, what a saga. That was kind of the library. Maybe one day it will find its way back to them.
