Clint Bungles I saw your challenge comment - haha, yup. I set mine 5 higher than 2025. How did you comment on there - this app gives me fits sometimes.

Kevin Majestyck I have no idea. Your new challenge just popped up in my feed and it let me comment lol. 46 actually was the number I hit for 2025 tho; it being 1 more than you was a total coincidence. My goal last year was 30 and I blew that away but I didn’t want to get cocky so I’ve just raised my goal to what I actually read last year because it was a lot for me and I’d be fine just keeping it up.

Clint Bungles Yes, if i can hit 50 a year im happy. Im going to start LOTR here soon and id love to be able to get through Carrion Comfort. That thing is turning into my White Whale.

Clint Bungles Happy New Year!

Kevin Majestyck Happy New Year! My final total for “read what I own” (must be books 3 years or longer since purchase) was 18 of 46. I would like to flip that ratio this year. Taltos by Anne Rice was the oldest TBR in my entire collection tho at 30 years, so that was a big score.

Clint Bungles If I follow the three years threshold, im at around 15. Going to try and not buy new this year outside of gifts and the odd exception. Priorities will be clearing as many "priority shelf books" as I can: Lansdale, Lovecraft Country, Hardy, Dickens, The Fisherman, and some nonfiction books. And dammit, Carrion Comfort.

Clint Bungles Not sure how I rated that Robin Hood book?!

message 8: by Clint (new)

Clint Bungles Oldest TBR titles on my shelf that I would've picked up years ago: The World According to Garp, Catch-22, Grapes of Wrath, The Magus, and Cobb by Al Stump.

message 9: by Kevin (new) - added it

Kevin Majestyck Those are some classics

message 10: by Clint (new)

Clint Bungles I've gotten deep into the Magus on two separate occasions, id like to finish that one.
