Sometimes a moment arises unexpectedly. Waiting forced. This draws out all sorts of buried fears, impatience, etc. Fruit of the spirit refinement opportunity.
Over time with experience waiting becomes treasure upon pop up and having practiced the unexpected. Uncertainty grows enthusiasm.
Waiting is a surprise gift. Confidence in surrender. Long suffering transforms to celebration. Thanksgiving. Waiting with Him

I convert this PDF using speechify and choose the voice of a guy who sounds like a professor from the UK who teaches at Oxford or maybe how I imagine CS Lewis sounding.

As a man’s heart is, so is he before God. We can advance no further over deeper into the holy place of Gods presence to wait on Him there, than our heart is prepared for it by the Holy Spirit. Cease from thoughts. Put no trust in them. Wake up in the heart to open itself to Gos, and seek the living fellowship with Him. Remember the difference between knowing with the mind and believing with the heart. 😊

Give your whole heart, with its secret workings, into God’s hands continually. He wants the heart, and takes it, and, as God, dwells in it. “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye that wait on the Lord.”
“My soul, wait thou only upon God!”
Found PDF of my print book online to create an audio on Speechify. Enjoy listing using Rupert’s UK voice over. Like a vintage BCC classic 😊

Listening to a PDF on Speechify. Following along in a book from ‘81. Strangely, it’s missing a paragraph for day 5. Compared to the PDF. My experience with the first four days was so magnificent in regard to ‘waiting’ took a break to recover. Sometimes experiences with God can require extra energy. A pause is needed to rejuvenate. Spiritual life doesn’t need to be plowed through. Is progressive & practiced

Well, that was a difficult week. Took me several to recover. This book, like scripture, unlocks a level. Like a video game. People say new level new devil. Me, it is not the devil but God who gives a better workout. Like a trainer, the Holy Spirit eggs me on to strengthen in waiting. Long suffering. Hindsight, recognize opportunity to ground in mindful patience as though the outcome is received. Worth the practice

As a walk in the woods would invite presence, this daily reader is a refreshing moment of quality time with God and self reflection within; and by example when opportunities arrive.
At the moment have a gut wrenching happenstance of waiting. This text reminds me and reinforces through the daily trek to remain steadfast. Skip believing the illusion of being in control is worth the effort. Rest with Him. Breath :)
