Omg chapter 20, before this I was thinking it’s was just idk 3 star book, cool magic system but the characters mostly weren’t interesting and the plot dragged for me. But goddamn chapter 20 was the fastest i have ever reduced a rating down to 1 star, insane, uncomfortable and (I believe) genuinely harmful ideas were reinforced. I’ll continue reading just to see the cat again and to see if Peter’s backstory can somewhat “salvage” this.
