Really like it so far, good writing. I was in the mood for less death after nearing the end of Symphony for the City of the Dead (about the composer Shostakovich while in Leningrad during WWII).

This is another civil rights with music themed story, but around the Harlem Renaissance. Still harsh, but like jazz it’s has an upbeat. (sorry lame pun)
