Writing feels loose & casual, which is a style that bugs me immensely—like the author is pandering to trolls who think category books are all brainless dashed-off tripe rather than making the effort to snare an audience who demands well-crafted bonbons. 😶 Hopefully it picks up, but I am not impressed.

Great, another modern heroine who grows up around wealth, opportunity, & beautiful stuff, yet doesn’t realize that most women aren’t born with hourglass figures & need to make a waist via The Cut of Their Clothes(tm)…or that in the era of internet shopping/expanded size ranges (not to mention rich = bespoke), you CAN get those clothes to fit YOUR body & match your own sense of style. Seriously? 🙄
