I’m giving up on this one. It feels like a core that I have to do instead of a fun book I want to read. I’ll give this author and their famous 188 guys another chance, but not right now.

This story has some great fighting scenes and the mystery behind the MC is interesting but otherwise I’m not convinced at all. I dislike the ML and I find the whole mercenary setting too over the top. Should I read on or dnf it?

I was very close to dnf-ing this, but the mystery around Shen Changze makes up for Shan Ming being the most boorish character ever.

Okay, the book’s got me now. One scene was all it took btw. 😆

I’ll give this until ~20% to get me hooked. So far I’m not and I’m not even curious enough that I absolutely have to learn where this book’s other title (龙血）comes from.

This translation is a bit wonky at times. I don’t think its machine translated just that it’s been done by someone who sometimes forgot what they wanted to write at the end of a sentence, so verbs or whatever have to be filled in. It’s a bit exhausting.

What a charming fellow Shan Ming is. Lol.
