oh my lord the amount of plot twists in this book had my eyes glued to the pages (had to block the pages with my hands so I didn’t skip ahead). my heart was racing for the last few chapters…city of fallen angels you masterpiece and Cassandra Clare you genius🤧

this book, just like the other 3, is so enticing, and everytime I tell myself ‘one more chapter’ it never happens

chapter 9 was insane; Simon finally giving in to his wants and attacking maureen(but at the worst time possible), and then maia and isabelle finding out he’s dating them both without them knowing. There’s 100% something going on with Jace too, with the way he avoids Clary but also doesn’t want to be avoiding her like make it make sense… is bro possessed or something I’m so intrigued to find out more raaaaah

all this mentjonjng of Sebastian(Jonathan) is making me feel like Cassandra is foreshadowing him not actually being dead

literally love this serieaaaaeeees, the writing, the characters and plot are all just *chefs kiss*
Only a quarter way through so far but I can already tell something is gonna go down and by down I mean wth is going on with these dreams that Jace is having…
And istg if Valentine is somehow alive I’m gonna cry
