An intriguing read that seems to lead to more questions, rather than solving the questions themselves so far. One can only assume that Hawking will go on to form hypothesis regarding the creation of the universe, the gravitation forces between all matter in our universe, and if our universe is finite or limitless. Hawking has gone on to critique outdated theories made by Aristotle, Ptolemy and Nicholas Copernicus.

Hawking introduces a key competent in science and in his book;to provide a single unified theory. Since this is not easy, scientists describe the universe with the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. However, Hawking also opposes the idea of a single unified theory, stating "the partial theories that we already have are sufficient to make accurate predications in all but the most extreme situations".
