Like it was so confusing and like as im reading it im like I have no idea what is happening there's like a horse and the kids are in a house alone and there's like a mean techno-government and like red lines mark the others so I googled the plot and its like yep that's what's happening

Started reading this for my book club totally out of order because the current book isn’t at the library yet - very weird and disjointed so far? Stuff about red lines and caravans???
