Feels like a mix of the structure of Undying and the plot of Faceless. Focus has been restored, now fully focused on the conspiracy and Adam. High society seems a lot more interesting than in Undying with more Beyonders at hand. Fights are peak in the series over all, especially Klein vs. Qonas Kilgor. Lots of fan service, to the point of dependency almost. Lacks theming, tone due to grander scope

No idea what I was smoking when I wrote the last update. there is a clear focus in this volume: hunting down the members of the conspiracy with lots of Tarot Club cooperation. The mystery is even more intriguing than usual since most of the cards are laid out already, but a few crucial puzzle pieces are missing (eg why did Adam make this the choice of the times). Theme is powerlessness in the face of the world? 8/10?
