“I love you, too.” Sirius replied, but his lips barely move and maybe Remus imagined the words all together but loving each other is all they’ve done, all their lives, so it isn’t that crazy to imagine Sirius saying the words in a haze of sleep and that makes Remus smile, and Sirius makes him smile, and guitar isn’t really his favourite instrument but he knows he’s happy because even the guitar is making him smile.

Sirius laid back down, smiling, dimples prominent in his cheeks, and everything really was worth it: learning guitar, and learning this song, and becoming friends with James who introduced him to Sirius, and never learning to tie his laces, and everything .
