At the end of part II - pages 251-252 of the hardcover edition... What the heck was that? Who is this Avery person who just shows up in the middle of this weird scene, adding even more weirdness? I have no recollection of any previous appearance or mentioning of Avery. This is bugging me. The book has been pretty good, but what just happened here? LOL
