A very neat rabbit adventure story. Feels like a bedtime story that I deceptively shallow. The characters, despite being rabbit, go through a lot and are very well characterized.

They made it!
There were many tense moments where in any other book things would go wrong. But here it’s oddly wholesome how well things work out—I suppose it is the more optimistic side to twists than a typical loss/tragedy. And that’s what makes it unique as an adventure where plans change but they still work out.

Big things brewing, really engrossing.
It’s a great adventure story and somehow gentle/kind? Maybe it’s the rabbits but it does feel quite gentle despite the thrills, troubles, and occasional body horror.

Lyrical—it’s a plain adventure story but the writing is very smooth and flowery, but not in an overdone way. And despite the simplicity the characters are very well developed and interesting and the plot progression feels perfectly paced and natural.
There’s a good deal of suspense and worry and yet it still feels quite light. It really is like a good bedtime adventure story that somehow has depth.

Quaint and eloquent, very cozy-adventure vibe so far. A bit like a child’s tale, but it does make great observations regarding group dynamics and the like—the sort of politics and motivations and Hazel’s struggle between the prophecies of Fiver and the rationality of the group.
It’s shaping up to have a good child’s story that has undercurrents adults can appreciate.
