I feel like I need a beautiful minds room to understand and remember all the connections, that’s on me. This ending is feeling pretty rushed so far though, and that is definitely not my fault.

I have been harsh on this book, and I still stand by most of it, I’m going to do some ruminating and see where I stand. When she revealed the third trial I was slightly baffled, but the writing made up for it, I loved how brutal it was. Similarly, I really love how penitent Feyre is about it. There were other things I didn’t much care for in the ending, but overall I think the last 5 chapters were an improvement.

Every time Rhysand is mentioned in this book I get dizzy and want to vomit.

Amarantha is a lazy villain by the way, “uh okay so your first trial is to fight this worm, and the next one is solve a puzzle before you get crushed by the spike ceiling.” Some trials pal, what’s next? You gonna roll a bolder at her?

It’s grating. All of these characters are as flat as a board, Tamlin maybe the worst in the entire story though. Also wow the part with her family is such a nothing burger, I have specific problems with it but I can’t put them into words because my head huuurrts.

Chapter 17 was super dope, Sarah J Maas does body horror really well. I found chapter 18 to be a whatever burger truly. I like that Lucien is also his wingman.

I have criticisms about things in this book so far but I’m really curious as to what this 19 year old is going to do about the evil magic plague
