Midway check in at page 169 and I am honestly surprised by how much I am into this. The beginning was a little slow for me, but once it found its footing it became a real page turner. I love the blend of science fiction with very grounded, contemporary relationship struggles. It feels less like a traditional romance and more like an intimate look at connection, distance, and choice, and it really works.
