Hmmmm. I feel like this series has bitten off more than it can handle. While I usually like multiple complex overlapping plots, I’m not sure if Sanderson is the author to try it. The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance are the standout books in this series, and they were pre-plot-overload. Perhaps this is a personal problem but I’m finding it hard to keep track of.

this audiobook is 47 hours long and i’m feeling each minute of it. Sanderson, this is way too long. So many unnecessary inclusions.

Yeah that's very fair, the only way I got through this series was by letting the audiobook play and turning my brain off. These books do not need to be this bloated and hard to keep track of. There are certainly some stand out moments that made me glad I pushed through but if you're struggling with this now, I don't think you're gonna enjoy Wind and Truth 😭

^^^ I am listening to the audiobook. I think that’s worse. I’m really trying to get through this 47 hour story but it doesn’t grip me enough. So many repetitions of themes (how many times do we need to see shallan be crazy), the jamming of cosmere referenced into an already packed novel and the myriad of characters outside of the core group whose chapters I can’t get into. Love sanderson, but he had bland prose and exceptional characters. Let those characters shine. Quality > quantity
