minnie. [reading slump hiatus] ☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ wrote: "BUT JUST A WARNING THERE IS SOME SPICE😰"

huh? there is no explicit spice, there is one sex scene that is fade to black, and non descriptive taking off clothes

minnie. [reading slump hiatus] and said sex scene happens in book two

Mildly Mad Hatter It honestly wasn’t that good. The politics were good but all the manipulation and dark stuff wasn’t too good. Plus there is a couple LGBTQ characters.

i LOVE it, Jude and Cardan are my roman freaking empire and the memes are even better :)

message 10: by Nick (new)

Nick tbh... i thought it was kinda mid... 🥲

Nick minnie. wrote: "and said sex scene happens in book two"

there's also a more explicit one in book 3 🥲

message 13: by ~•hannah•~ (new)

~•hannah•~ Ok thanks guys! Im not so sure bc of the LGBTQ and the sex stuff but ima def think abt itttt

✦❀✧ 𝒜𝑔𝓃ℯ𝓈 :P ✧❀✦ Yesss, so basically trust me, I read the whole series, and the first book (The cruel prince) may be boring, but the next two books in the series (The Wicked king and the queen of nothing) are absolutely a masterpiece, so I encourage you on reading it, and don’t give up if you wasn’t amazed by the first book.
And there are no LGBTQ or s** stuff, there are some *very tiny* intimate moments, but nothing bad

message 15: by Lea ★ (new)

Lea ★ hii! personally its my fav book of all time BUT here are some things you might wanna know before reading:
1. its a fantasy mostly focused on politics with a romance SUBPLOT (ton of ppl online got mad that there wasnt much romance)
2. there is a ton of world building
3. its completely ya (there are kisses tho but its like very vague with no inappropriate details, and everything is closed door and happens in later books when it comes to "more")
4. there is a lgbtq character that i can reveal if you want BUT that character is so unimportant imo like they are mentioned but you can gen skip one chapter where their sexuality is mentioned 💕
5. it is true enemies to lovers, mmc and fmc hate each other but both have their reasons and this is why the romance is so good! they are no perfect and we see them both grow into characters that we as a fandom love and adore!
happy reading and feel free to ask me if you need any more details or explanations ❤️

༻gemma༺{back!} ఌ· ° . I don’t remember there being an lgbt character…

McKenzie (writing hiatus) @gemma yeah the oldest has a gf but it’s so insignificant

message 18: by ~•hannah•~ (new)

~•hannah•~ @lea thanks! Thats helpful!

yasmin⭑.ᐟ (God's Version) for me it was a meh read.

༻gemma༺{back!} ఌ· ° . @mckenzie omg how could I forget abt Vivi 🤦‍♀️I love her 😭

༻gemma༺{back!} ఌ· ° . I wouldn’t say viví is unimportant but it’s not rlly mentioned if her being lesbian bothers you…

message 22: by ~•hannah•~ (new)

~•hannah•~ @gemma As long as there isnt like- deep detail or something i dont rlly care. I just dont want it to be this whole important thing that they make a big deal of

༻gemma༺{back!} ఌ· ° . @hannah yes ig…

Bri’s Library 📚 I absolutely loved the trilogy with my whole heart ❤️. Yes you have to

Makinley (Gibsie’s version) ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. 2nd or 3rd book is def best ❤️❤️❤️

message 29: by ~•hannah•~ (new)

~•hannah•~ @maya Its a religion thing and personally some of that stuff makes me un comftorble. Im sorry if that offends you, but those are just my belifes :$

ava. YESYESYES ITS AMAZING

message 34: by ava. (new)

ava. I’ve read the first book and there’s no spice just like a couple kissing scenes

message 35: by ℓιѕєη (new)

ℓιѕєη 100% Just don’t go into it expecting a ton of romance. It’s there, it’s just not a big part of the plot

☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ @minnie Err there is also one in The Queen of Nothing that def open door not too descriptive tho

☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ But Hannah it’s super easy to skip over and not rlly relevant to the storyline!

༻gemma༺{back!} ఌ· ° . @lexi there’s literally nothing abt it that’s open door 😭 them talking abt removing their clothes is the cleanest it could be

༻gemma༺{back!} ఌ· ° . @lexi also considering the fact that you only read clean books I doubt you know the worst of spice and the cruel prince is not spicy

help I haven’t read the third book but like that literally sounds like a fade to black scene 😭

☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ @gemma my bad for assuming ig I have a different definition of spice than most ppl

☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ @gemma I js assumed that when Jude was literally crawling to him without clothes on and they did “it” on the floor it was open door. Sorry

minnie. [reading slump hiatus] ☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ wrote: "@gemma I js assumed that when Jude was literally crawling to him without clothes on and they did “it” on the floor it was open door. Sorry"

minnie. [reading slump hiatus] ☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ wrote: "@gemma I js assumed that when Jude was literally crawling to him without clothes on and they did “it” on the floor it was open door. Sorry"

open door by definition means explicit sex, whether its a few sentences or a few pages, that's detailed writing not vague, and its descriptive of both the actions and the body (and the series does not have any of that but ill check)

yeah exactly, like for example fourth wing would be considered open door while divine rivals is closed door

☕︎︎𝐋𝐞𝐱𝐢✞ @minnie it’s was in Chapter 21 or 22 I can’t remember…but I skipped it right when it got weird…ALSO IM SO SORRY FOR SAYING THAT WAS OPEN DOOR😭🙏 I lowkey feel terrible for assuming open-door meant that they did “it”💔 sorry again guys😔
