I want to like this book so badly, but I just can’t get into it. It’s really just a thought experiment about what if China and the Middle East were the imperialists and colonizers rather than Europeans. Parts of this book ate very interesting, but others are just colonial history repackaged with with a lot of Muslim and Buddhist philosophy.
