The drop-dead cliffhanger of the first book made me realize I knew I was going to read the sequel, so here we are. I spent most of book 1 rolling my eyes, and interpreting most of this as satire helps the experience. I will say, Meg Sylvan is an extremely talented narrator and really helps with some of the preposterous dialogue.
