This is densely packed with historical events country-by-country to show where new world influences have tried to immerse themselves to “save” or gentrify our oldest continent. Having spent time in rural Tanzania, I can’t imagine what it must have been like in the early 1900’s given how desolate and impoverished it still is. Looking forward to hearing more throughout the remainder of this novel.
