Dear god, if it isn’t confirmed in this book that Charlie has autism I’m gonna be annoyed cos it would be PERFECT representation if so! Lovely start, and an interesting complex character to read the perspective of. I just need it to be canon that he is neurospicy.

As someone who has anxiety struggles with anything to do with bones (cracking knuckles, being able to see prominent bones on someone etc), every time Charlie describes Dev’s body as having sharp hips, sharp this, sharp that, I wanna launch the Kindle at the flipping wall. But I mean, that’s a me-specific fear to be fair.
