The mage system in this book makes no sense to me... like she has finally defined all the mage options and they are like almost elemental but also not. There is earth, air, fire, water, forest, life, death, sun, moon, rock. What's the difference between earth and rock?? And you have to be touching your "element" to use it, so there is some pretty large trade offs

I am only 18 pages into this book, but this first chapter is basically just a "what happened in the last episode." But it is not even done in a good way, it is kind of just said. Like she is literally saying everything that happened in the last book... my hopes are lowering every page...
