His reasons for being “inlove” with Ying Li was so superficial and really shows his character. He said that he fell inlove with her emotions but then the emotions mentioned were “intimidated by him” and “crying in his arms.” Doesn’t make sense unless you’re an insecure man.

I don’t feel the respect for other people culture. It really shows how he thinks that his country/culture/language is superior than the others. And how many times can one use “Chinese” as an adjective?? Apparently Hector has no other words to describe the country’s culture.

Hector seems like one of the whiny men who never takes accountability and always blame other people (especially women) for his unhappiness.

Didn’t like the writing style too. Written almost like a child’s book, but content is not. In only exemplifies my opinion that Hector is one of the basic, patriarch, and toxic male.
