This is very heavy-handed about climate change and a lot of the content is very dramatic. Several of the characters are so hyperbolic that it's hard to take them seriously at times.
I don't think this author's style is for me. I would have dnf'd by now, but it's a relatively short audiobook and I am genuinely curious what happened on the island.

Honestly not sure if this book is for me. Some of the writing is too heavy-handed and "poetic" for my liking. That said, I am intrigued...
