So Cammie and Rex finally shared their feelings for each other

Cammie and Rex are going to look into old cases of her fathers to see if they can find anything. Cammie is also going to talk to Hollis and see if he would be capable of being apart of kidnapping Cyrus.

DNA proves Cammie is Cyrus’s mom. Cyrus got to meet Cammie’s dad. Her father wasn’t able to give her any insight that could connect her family’s murders to Cyrus’s kidnapping.

Cyrus’s birth father is a suspect, not officially, but that’s what Cammie is thinking. Hollis rejected the idea of Cyrus being his from the beginning and since he’s running for public office he may want Cyrus out of the picture. Cyrus sent his father an email through his campaign email.

Red and Cammie have Cyrus and they’re talking with the police. There is a new character being introduced named Posey. She is young, 17, and helps her father run a business. This is an illegal business that helps others “get rid” of problems.

Rex was a suspect in the crimes against Cammie’s family, while he was proven innocent he lost scholarships due to the reputation it placed on him. Cammie put her baby up for adoption and Hollis accused the baby of being her rapist’s. They’re in their late 20s now. Rex is in the military and Cammie own her own butterfly/plant business.

The amount of trauma Cammie has gone through during the first hour of this book has me reeling. She takes a pregnancy test, worried she’s pregnant by her BF, and then is suddenly thrown into a home invasion where her, her sister, and her mother are tied up, drugged, and raped. Her father is tied up and forced to watch videos. Cammie gets free and shots one of the men but not in time to save her sister or mother
